The good news is that scooters are still the most popular new bikes in the country, although their substantially less green cousins, cruisers, seem to be gaining popularity fast. Still, in the face of dwindling car sales, it’s a positive sign that bike sales are on the increase - a motorcycle culture in South Africa will reduce our vehicle-related pollution levels quite substantially.
