Jay Leno drives the Tesla Roadster
American comedian, Jay Leno is a serious car nut. He also has bucketloads of money, so he can afford pretty much any car out there (he owns, among others, a McLaren F1, a Porsche Carrera GT and a Bentley Continental GT). In short, Leno knows what makes a good car.
That’s why it’s great news to hear that the Tesla Roadster was met with Leno’s overall approval. He praised its handling, it’s real-world performance figures (Leno argues that acceleration between 65 and 130 km/h is where the real fun is to be had on public roads) and its everday usability.
In his article in The Times Online Leno calls the Tesla “the first car that means we as sports car aficionados can see beyond the end of the internal combustion engine.”
